AGH PAVILION A-0 AULA KRK

Architectural concept land development between the AGH pavilions in the area of ul. Czarnowiejska in Krakow
Competition project 2010

The building's façades have been shaped by the rhythm of tall, slim columns that create its lightness and exceptional, transparent quality at the interface of the building's interior and its external, public part. Two-story arcades along ul. Czarnowiejska and the square from the east give a new spatial quality to this street fragment, including the city's external pedestrian traffic in the university's communication system. The three lower floors were separated from the street by glass panes. Transparency allows for the mirror opening of the world inside the university to the outside world. The next two floors are the opposite of this idea, i.e. a simple and compact form has been broken with the monumental windows.
